Suitable for all levels of experience from beginner to professional massage therapist. This course is a module on the Traditional Thai Therapies Certificate
A ‘must have’ Diploma for any massage therapist. It is a skill that is portable, flexible, convenient, and most importantly, in demand!
This course is taught by Lucy Trend, who ran the Drop-In Shiatsu Massage service within Borders Books for 12 years, and has given thousands of on-site treatments. Over the 2 days the course incorporates 3 set routines: 10 minute, 20 minute, and a ‘hands free’ routine for those with wrist or thumb problems. Lucy shares with you some useful bites of her in depth knowledge of Acupoint and shiatsu meridian location and function. Plus a host of practical and flexible Thai Massage and Japanese Shiatsu techniques to incorporate into treatments and equip you to work with skill and confidence.
Course dates for Glasgow: Saturday 28th October and Saturday 11th November 2017 10.30 am-5.30 pm in Glasgow. (next course Friday 20th and Saturday 21st April 2018)
Cost: £155 per person (£140 each for two booking together). Additional £50 per person assessment fee if you require certification (dates to be arranged between assessor and student once case studies are completed). Class numbers are limited to ensure individual attention.
Entry requirements: Suitable for all levels of experience from beginner onwards. To receive the Diploma you must have existing massage or bodywork certificate (or equivalent qualification which must cover Anatomy and Physiology up to or over Level 3). If you don’t have this qualification you will still benefit greatly from the course but will not be able to receive the Diploma to practise professionally.
